Abstract

This research was conducted for three months, starting from June to August 2020. The research location is located on Pesut Street, Tenggarong District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This study aims to see how the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and spacing has on the growth and yield of maize. As well as to measure the POC concentration and spacing which is the best for the growth and yield of maize. Research using a randomized block design (RBD) was carried out in three replications consisting of two treatment factors, the first factor was the provision of POC (P) which consisted of four levels as follows: P0: 0%, P1: 5%, P2: 10%, P3: 15%. The second factor is the spacing (J) which consists of three levels as follows: J1: Jajar legowo 2: 1 (75cm x 25cm x 25cm), J2: 70cm x 40cm and J3: 80cm x 20cm. The results of the study were that the POC treatment showed a significant difference in the ton / ha yield, but not significant for other parameters. The treatment showed that P2 was the best treatment because it produced an average yield weight of 14.06 tonnes / ha. The application of spacing showe d significant differences in cob diameter, cob length, weight yield per plot and yield weight Ton / Ha, but not significant on plant height and number of leaves. Treatment J3 showed the best treatment because it produced cob diameter 5.51cm, cob length 24.25cm, weight yield of 4.43kg plots and yield weight 12.40 tonnes / ha. POC interaction and spacing had no significant effect on all parameters. Key words: POC, Leucaena leaves, spacing and corn
