Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the land suitability class for durian crops. The land suitability evaluation method used in this study is a limiting factor, and the sampling metho d is carried out by orientation and observation and sampling in the field, by taking the chemical properties of the soil using a soil drill and taking samples of the physical properties of the soil using a ring size of 5 cm at depth. 0-20 cm. Then continued the analysis at the Laboratory of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Mulawarman University. The results showed that the land suitability class for the development of durian (Durio Zibenthinus Murr) cultivation at the research site SPL 1 in KM 3 was S2 (quite suitable) with the limiting factor of soil pH and at SPL 2 sangkima with the limiting factor of soil pH, K-available and slopes.
