Abstract

Cayenne pepper is a plant that is widely cultivated by farmers in Singa Geweh UrbanVillage, South Sangatta Sub-District, East Kutai Regency. The opportunity is quite large to cultivate cayenne pepper, therefore, the research aimed was to determine the cayenne pepper production were produced by farmers and how much the production factors affecting, land area, number of seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, and labor on cayenne pepper production in Singa Geweh Urban Village, South Sangatta Sub-District. Data collection methods were observation and interviews. The sampling method was purposive sampling and accidental sampling with 31 farmers. Obtained data were analyzed by statistical analysis, namely multiple linear regression by SPSS support software. The production total of cayenne pepper produced by the farmers is 50,250 kg/mt with 1,621 kg/mt average production. Based on the production factors analysis results of land area, fertilizers and insecticides partially have non-significant effect and seed production factors have a significant effect on cayenne pepper yield production. Based on simultaneous regression (F-test) results the production factors of land area, seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, labor have a significant effect on cayenne pepper yield production in Singa Geweh Urban Village.
